Mama told me not to come...



Someone suggested, after my Letter to Tim Kaine, that the only alternative for me was to move to Maryland.

Not anymore.

This is the source of my real outrage. These are democrats in name only. These are elected officials who joined the ruling party to get their slice of the pie, not based upon any fundamental principles.

I am outraged by this - the democrats are afraid they will lose power and so they refuse to take a stand on gay marriage. They are afraid the Jesus Freaks will turn out en masse to vote for republicans so they try to "triangulate" and find an easy way out without taking a stand - so they can continue to get gay money and gay votes without pissing off the far right enough to vote them out.

Am I over-reacting? Am I just stressed out because over the last two days I have packed and helped pack 50 boxes in my house and lifted heavy furniture onto a truck and not gotten enough done at work to ensure that things run smoothly there in my absence for the next three days.....

Or is this symptomatic of what is wrong with the dem party, and by extension, the USA?
