I am finding it hard to remember to update, or to have the energy.

I've started yoga. I love it, but it does exhaust me. I may have to shift my workouts so that I don't lift on Thurs since I am doing Wednesday classes.

The weather is cooling and I love this time of year. I love spring most for the gardening effects - I live to garden and see my beautiful plants grow and grow.

It seems I may have been kicked out of the doctoral program - at least according to a former colleague who is in it who says that the crazy wench in charge of it went off about me having "timed out" on it. I cannot wait to find out.

Adoption/Surrogacy discussions continue. Virginia is not adoption-friendly for couples who are not married. At least they discriminate on the basis of family status across the board. We may have to move just on this principle, unless we come up with the cash to do surrogacy. That's a stretch tho. It is becoming more and more of an urge, and I want to move forward quickly on this.

I am reading Dan Savage's The Commitment right now, and I absolutely love him and his writing. He is a total trip. I also bought copies of White LIke Me by Tim Wise for both Dave and I to read. He and I have very different perspectives on race and interact differently with it. At work, we are doing some work with race and this book has arisen as a corollary to the book we are working with. I'm hoping he will read it with me and we can discuss it and get to know each other better on this level.
