Get BackIt was either that or Back Back Back to my
roots.....
So today I did back at the gym for the first time
since I hurt my back (I need another gym entry cause there are a measly 4 gym
entries, and my blog is supposed to be all about politics and the gym!). I
did:
4 sets of pullups 5 sets of rows on the groovey hammerstrength row machine 4 sets of pulldowns on the groovey hammerstrength pulldown machine 3 sets of reverse-grip row things on some other kind of machine that I don't know the name of but like 3 sets of pulldowns on the universal machine. And my back didn't twinge at all!!! Ibuprofin does ya wonders. I hate being injured cause, as you know, when I am not in the gym I feel like my arms shrink and go to my waist, which is already bigger than I like. Speaking of which, I am fiendin for some decaf latte (iced) and the fixins for some tomato, mozzarella and pesto: 1 slice of fresh tomato (pref homegrown) 1 slice of fresh mozzarella make your own pesto, dammit: --fresh basil ground up --extra-virgin olive oil --parmesan cheese --garlic --you're supposed to put in pine nuts, but I didn't get any at whole foods. Oh well. Guaranteed NOT to make you skinnier!!!! But a tasty treat and a hit at parties! Posted: Tue - July 6, 2004 at 08:22 PM ); |

Current and recent reads:
Evan Thomas et. al. discuss the ins and outs of the campaigns of 2004 from inside them both - a fast read on the plane and made me want to scream with the accounts of missteps on the part of the Kerry team!
Currently reading Walsch's new book - it is really helping me to solidify my current angst over spiritual direction and figure out where I am going and growing. I highly recommend this as a read to everyone who wants to leap forward, or at least delve deeper into their understanding of God and our place in the universe.
