more house guests
more bats! chased one out two nights ago, chased
one out tonight - (Joey saw it and said - what was that black bird doing flying
around the other room?)and, Shaun found a poor little dead bat body on the
kitchen floor this morning - where are they coming from?

well...i just chased a bat out of my house -
i walked in and it was flying around - scared the $#%& outa me!
i screamed like a little girl and ran through the house - grabbed a
broom and eventually was able to guide the beast out through the
front door. I like bats - this thing flew around the house, circling
around each room before i chased it in to the next. - beautiful animals -
i have to admit it creeped me out...
what a coincidence!

ok - it's working - next i need to get a script
that will show what song i'm listening to in iTunes...
also - it's weird typing this stuff up knowing that y'all
will be reading and criticizing...well, i guess i'll

took a while to get up and running -
i found 3 different sets of instructions
the first two were very incomplete if
not outright wrong...

mother of toilet seat
at Loews Home Depot like place...a 'mother of

well - after years of desiring one of these, i
finally found one!

the first time -
it runs even nicer now -
that sucker is
FAST...

- just got two stones albums and the faces
boxset
great stuff all
around!
also just got a vine from the
Television fanclub

crash the hard drive
lose a lot of very
important files?
today my new G5 crashed so hard it needed to be
'hard' powered off.
upon reboot, the external
firewire drive is not there.powered off - powered on -
repeteadly,
ran apple disc utility - couldn't
fix it - hooked it up to another computer - didn't see it.
downloaded
discwarrior 3, which is supposed
to be the best disc utility - it saw the drive! it couldn't fix
it.
gave up and went next door for
awhile
came home, downloaded norton utility 8
- it couldn't see the drive - couldn't fix it.
arrggghhh!!!!
!idea! - reboot the blue and
white G3 into OS 9 - hook up the firewire drive - boom! sees it
immediately.
can i hear everybody say yes! i
quickly install discwarrior 3 in os9 and run it on the drive - it fixes the
directory - i shut it down, hook it back up to the G5, and reboot - success!
there it is - all 120 GBs of my files - all my mp3s, tons of image files, art,
scans, you name it - saved again! downloaded the
newest
Norton uninstaller and took that shite
offa dere - i'll keep the cd because you never know - the next problem, norton
might be able to fix

well...here i am - feeling on the brink of a
complete collapse
it seems that every 3
months or so, i get fragile - paranoid
and
depressed - angry. thankfully i have next
week off - if i can get
through this week, i
will be lucky - most likely the time off will
cure the blues...

dual 2 gHz G5 w/ a 23" cinema
display(beautiful)
i had some noise
issues(probably related to RAM issues),
but
that's all fixed now - i also have some very nice logitech 'optical'
speakers...
it's a very lovely
machine!
