Loss 5 - 4Comeback time! Oops, wrong team. Keeping another team at bay for 6 innings, our defense had a couple of miscues in the 7th along with some timely NH Legion hitting allowed the game to slip away from us, by a score of 5 to 4, for a third straight game. Offensively we had 9 hits, including Krissy Anderson's 1st hit, a double, while Danielle Anderson went 2 for 3 and Shannon Richer had a sparkling 3 for 4 night with 2 RBIs including one with 2 out. Erica Zacek also nailed 2 out single to bring home Danielle Anderson in the 6th. Defensively we had a gem through 6 innings before the wheels came off in the 7th giving up 4 runs including an unearned run. Danielle Rash went the distance to take the loss, scattering 5 hits over 6 innings, no walks and an earned run, before the disatrous 7th vaporized with 5 hits and 3 earned runs. |

Loss 5 - 2We lost the first of a double header to Jonathan's by a score of 5 - 2. What was odd about this game was getting signals crossed, but was still effective enough to keep the game close. Offensively, Erica Zacek (2 for 3) and Cristen Smith (2 for 2) had 2 hits apiece. The two Anderson players (Danielle Anderson and Krissy Anderson - no they're not related) each drove in a run with their timely base hits. Defensively, we didn't have any errors for the 1st game this season, however, with our pitcher, Danielle Rash, suffering leg problems and messed up signals from her coaches, most of the scoring and major hits occured during the first 2 innings as she threw almost 100 drop balls. Our defense stranded 11 runners, in spite of 13 hits, 3 walks, and our coaches inability to distinguish a drop ball from a fastball. Oops. |

Loss 6 - 1We also lost the second game of the double header against Jonathan's, 6 - 1. Offensively, all 5 hits were scattered amongst 5 players, Erica Zacek, Lauren Keller, Shannon Richer, Krissy Anderson, and Rachael Morehouse. Our lone run was brought in on a sacrifice bunt by Rachel Bunal. Defensively, we had 1 error, while holding on 8 runners. Kendra Goodman went the distance to take the loss, giving up 11 hits, 2 walks, but keeping Jonathan's to a 3 for 14 with runners in scoring position. I have a special thank you to the ladies who have stayed up well past their bedtime "to come out and play" a little softball. I know the nights are long on doubleheaders but the moments are special. Again thank you. |

Danielle Rash went the distance for the loss scattering 5 hits and 6 walks leading to 4 earned runs while striking out 7 on a still bum leg. |

Loss 8 - 3Well we lost the first of a double header 8 to 3 against Weaksly/Gravesville. And it finally happened, pitcher Danielle Rash's leg finally gave out. Fortunately we had a 3 other pitchers to help out and Katie Marquette filled in very well in spite of not pitching in say 2 years? Offensively, we picked up 7 hits with Erica Zacek leading all hitters going 2 for 3 and an RBI. Both Danielle Rash (before she left the game) and Shannon Richer went 1 for 2 with Danielle getting an RBI. Danielle Anderson, Kelly Baker, and Rachel Bunal also added hits. Defensively we had 4 errors and allowed 2 unearned run. Danielle went 2 innings facing 9 batters, allowing 2 earned runs before her leg injury forced her out of the game and took the loss. Katie Marquette came in relief in the middle of a meat grinder of a game but only allowed 4 earned runs over the last 5 innings. Thank you Katie! |

Loss 12 - 0In a mercy (ful) shortend game, we lost the other half of the double header to Weakley/Gravesville 12 to 0 after 4 innings. Offensively we managed two hits, 1 each going to Rachel Bunal and Heather Rogers. Defensively we managed 5 errors in 4 of their innings giving up 5 unearned runs. Poor Molly Burns bore the brunt of our mistakes and took the loss with Rachel Bunal closing out the last 2 outs. Overall a forgettable game if there ever was one. But a special thanks to Molly who probably hasn't pitched in 2 years either. |
