Purchase of a
made to measure costume
Before ordering a made to measure outfit from VanRay Design you may
have some questions of your own; can you make it ? how much will it
cost? and how long will it take to construct ?
At VanRay design we can make virtually anything providing it is
textile based we are experienced at working with all kinds of
fabrics such as delicate silk, chiffon, lycra, fake fur, sequined
fabrics, velvet and PVC to name but a few.
Before we can design and make your outfit here are some questions
we need to ask the client:
What is the costume for? - Is it for a theatre production, dance
competition, special event?
What fabric or colour did you have in mind? - certain fabrics and
trimmings are difficult to locate at times depending on the season
so it is always useful to have preferences in mind.
Do you have a budget for your costume? - It is important we know
this so we don’t suggest the most expensive fabrics and trimmings
in many cases there are cheaper alternatives.
What are your measurements? - We will e mail or post you a
measurement form out with information regarding the measurements
needed for your costume.
Alternatively you can make an appointment with us if you live in
travelling distance. We are based in Rotherham, South
Yorkshire.
How long will the costume take to make? - It all depends on the
style and the number of the costumes that you are ordering but on
average we aim to dispatch orders within fourteen days and large
orders within twenty eight days
Once we receive your order we will e mail you a completion and
delivery date.
Making
Payment
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Please read the following carefully
1. We will not start work on your commission until we have received
half of the total cost of your order. A cheque and covering letter
should be made payable to :

2. Once we have received your measurements, and your cheque is
cleared (which normally takes between 3-5 working days) at my bank
I will start work on your costume.
3. When your costume is ready we will contact you near the
completion date and ask you to send the remaining cost of your
order together with the postage and packing fee for special
delivery to your address.
4. Once the final cheque has cleared we will forward your costume
to you.
5. Alternatively if you make an appointment with us and pay by
cash, a receipt will be given for any deposits received. We will
also accept cash through the post sent by recorded delivery in a
well concealed package.

7. If you wish to pay with your credit or debit card using PayPal

If you would like to pay by credit or debit card using PayPal
simply let us know and we will instruct PayPal to invoice you by e
mail, you pay them, we transfer the money from Paypal to our Bank
Account then we send you your goods. Your payment will be secure
and covered under your credit card insurance. Please note that we
will add an additional 3.7% of any payment request via PayPal to
cover PayPal charges to us.
Postage &
packing
Postage within the UK is by Royal Mail Special Delivery which is
guaranteed recorded delivery before noon the next day working day.
It is therefore essential that you give us your full postal address
and postcode. You will also have to be present to sign for the
parcel containing your order.
The price of postage will depend on the weight of the finished
outfit.
We will e mail you in advance regarding the cost of postage &
packaging when you have placed your order.
