I have been very active in advocacy for persons with diabetes across Canada. The most common concern that came forward from each province of Canada was, about the costs that are involved to a person/family with diabetes to look after the disease and to do it properly. You all know what happens if you can't afford something, you cut corners and this is at the expense of ones health.

Here is where YOU and I can make a difference right here and now! BELOW is a petition. Please print it. Make copies of it, circulate it, (local newspapers, pharmacies, Drs. offices, work, schools, friends, relatives, neighbors and politicians) to all diabetics and non-diabetics. Remember, there is strength in numbers. This is your chance to make a difference for all Ontarians and maybe even all Canadians diabetic or not. When the sheet or sheets containing the petition are filled, please mail it to:

Please make sure that all photocopies are clear. Make certain that the petition is filled out completely and legibly. Please do this right away as this is an urgent matter. The sooner we get the petitions back, the sooner we can present them to the Ontario Government. MPP Joe Tascona of Barrie has promised to take our proposal and petition to the Ontario Government.

So, I ask each one of you who reads this, get out there and work hard at getting this petition circulated and signed. Lets stand up and be counted loud and clear for all with diabetes everywhere.
