Simcoe County (Ontario) Insulin Pumpers is a non-profit, volunteer, support group for people living with Diabetes and who use Insulin Pumps. Insulin Pumps help us, or our loved ones, deliver insulin more effectively enabling us to more precisely manage blood glucose levels.
Most of us are pumpers, prospective pumpers or parents of children who use the pump. We are currently providing a forum where we can go to exchange and discuss the latest information and share emotional coping strategies in a positive environment. This allows us to set the pace for an enriched quality of life while maintaining the "gold standard" of optimal blood glucose control.
From time to time, we have guests from pump companies and other diabetes management services provide us with information on their products and review how this impacts current diabetes management issues. The founding members started this group in the spring of 2002 and we are really starting to roll! ... ...to find out more about us check out our minutes of past meetings.
