Plan
Before Class:
- On each slide there
will be bulletted points that explain what each author, theorist and model
means
- Draw similarites between
all models
- Printed
slides (102
KB) will be uploaded to WebCT in pdf
In class (10
minutes) :
- Give the presentation (260
KB) for less than 5 minutes
- Hand out the instruction
sheet with things to think about and places to list steps and observations
- Allow 2 minutes to read
- Allow 3 minutes for questions
- When a bell rings, all questions
will cease and students will get up and select materials
Activity (25
minutes):
- Ask individual students to select
at least one building material they’re unfamiliar with
- Take 25 minutes or less to make
the sandwich and list the steps
- Clean-up will NOT take up class
time
After Activity (15
minutes) :
- Students will take 2 minutes
to jot down notes regarding the questions they were to think about while making
the sandwich (this can be done earler if they finish their activity early)
- Have 10 minutes for discussion
- We will guide discussion with
the purpose of drawing out a new model of experiential learning on the chalkboard
- Limit each person’s floor
time to no more than 1 minute
