another article about our big day

Lorraine, the reporter who interviewed us prior to the wedding, then accompanied us for the event, has published an article in the Stanford Cardinal Inquirer. I'm assuming it's a student newspaper. Corey just found it today; it was published on March 4th. She also wrote the article for UUWorld, which has yet to be published. Maybe by the end of the month we'll see something.

And Corey has been working on answering some interview questions for the LGBT group on the Ithaca campus. They're writing about us in their next newsletter. Maybe when he's finished writing his answers, he'll let me post them. (You'd get to hear the fabulous story of our first few years together!)

At a party on Saturday, we were standing around talking about the gay marriage issue. Corey mentioned that he saw a panel discussion on the Dennis Miller show in which one of the speakers was very relaxed about the whole issue, saying that if you look at the polling numbers for people under the age of 30, it's clear that same-sex marriage is inevitable in this country, it's just a matter of time. That was encouraging to hear.

Then I read a headline this morning that read "U.S. deaths from enemy fire at highest level since Vietnam". That was discouraging to hear. What have we let this President of ours get us into?

Then I heard a pretty good joke on the radio: John Kerry walks into a bar and the bartender says, "Why the long face?" So that was encouraging again.
