Doug on retreat![]() Senior Retreat was really nice. Relaxing, rejuvenating time with 45 high school seniors out among the redwoods. That might not sound fun to everyone out there, but to me it was perfect. I'm really starting to like these kids. And I was honestly really impressed with them on this retreat. Of course, we had the usual goofy stuff that you have with any 45 high school seniors, but when it came down to it, these kids were full of a lot more heart and groundedness and consideration than most adults I know. It's pretty late as I write this, so I
will catch you up on the details later. It's enough for me to tell you that I
found this experience profoundly moving, and I was surprised by that. I've been
on many, many retreats and led some as well. This one was no different than the
majority of those, but (like any good retreat) still left my heart raw and
tender by the end.
