Amazon.com emailed me today to let me know that Northern Exposure, the Complete First Season will be released on DVD this spring.

That's fantastic news for anyone who has been a fan of the show. Corey and I discovered our love for the citizens of Cicely, Alaska shortly after the show was cancelled by CBS. We caught a lucky break when A&E began showing re-runs, then made a few of the episodes available on VHS. But we have always been waiting for the DVD treatment . . .

Quite simply one of the best pieces of television I have ever seen. I can't wait for the chance to watch all of it.
