children of the corn!

Imagine this. Twelve acres of corn, all ten feet high. An elaborate maze and 21 "secret" markers hidden within. Four wild and crazy friends. It's getting dark -- and no one thought to bring a flashlight.

And boy, did we have a great time. What a perfect Halloween evening. This place really had the spirit right. I'm going to do a photo album, which I'll post in the next day or so (I'm tired and already halfway to dreamland at the moment). But my favorite part was the "Pumpkin Slingshot", a huge two-tined fork stuck in the ground with a giant rubber band tied to each post. Sling-shooter places a pumpkin of their choice at the end of the giant rubber band, pulls back as far as they can, let's go, and . . . SPLAT! No more pumpkin. Very cool.

Like I said, more pictures later, but here's one of the four of us chowing down after we conquered the maze.
