children of the corn!![]() Imagine this. Twelve acres of corn, all ten feet high. An elaborate maze and 21 "secret" markers hidden within. Four wild and crazy friends. It's getting dark -- and no one thought to bring a flashlight. And boy, did we have a great time. What a
perfect Halloween evening. This place really had the spirit right. I'm going
to do a photo album, which I'll post in the next day or so (I'm tired and
already halfway to dreamland at the moment). But my favorite part was the
"Pumpkin Slingshot", a huge two-tined fork stuck in the ground with a giant
rubber band tied to each post. Sling-shooter places a pumpkin of their choice
at the end of the giant rubber band, pulls back as far as they can, let's go,
and . . . SPLAT! No more pumpkin. Very
cool.
Like I said, more pictures later, but here's one of the four of us chowing down after we conquered the maze. Posted: Sun - October 26, 2003 at 11:43 PM |
