In April, 1998, Michael and Doug spent ten days relaxing, eating and drinking in Mexico (not necissarily in that order)!

We flew Alaska Air from Seattle to Los Angeles and then to Puerto Vallarta.

We checked into the Buenaventura Hotel on the corner of Mexico and Nicaragua.

It was a little out of the way, but we got a great deal!

The weather was beautiful the whole time!

The Malecon, the "main drag" downtown.

Puerto Vallarta was a nice town to visit, it was easy to walk everywhere and if you wanted, you could take a bus for about 10 cents.

On our second night in town, who did we run into but Rob and Tom from Vancouver! Who could forget their wedding?

So we had some drinks with them...

...then we had some more drinks with them...

Then we went to bed, got up the next day, and had some more drinks with them!

We only wanted one drink... Oh, it's time for three for one? Okay, then TWELVE strawberry daqueries!

"Another round for the entire beach!!!"

Ah yes, this is the life.

Playa de los Muertos - Beach of the Dead (named because pirates used to use the bay!).

We did lots of activities including:

Parasailing

Michael goes parasailing!!!

 Puerto Vallarta from the air!

Jeez, we were really high up!

Snorkeling

And Eating

 Eating in the hotel.

 Eating at a German restaurant.

Eating at an Italian restaurant.

Eating at La Casa de los Hotcackes.

Eating with Rob & Tom.

 Eating outside.

Eating in a cafe on the sidewalk.

Eating upstairs.

Eating on the beach.

The last couple of days were spent playing Scrabble by the pool.

Of course, we weren't far from the bar, and BOY were those Banana Daqueries tasty!!!
