Describe the importance of the attributes in understanding this worldview area. Include any other primary truth revealed in the Scriptures regarding this area (principles, observations, examples, etc.):
God is a just God who cannot allow disobedience to go unpunished. Disobedience is the opposite of obedience, which presupposes the existence of a standard or rule which must be followed. Disobedience also presupposes an agent capable of disobeying.
The Biblical Christian worldview position on this area:
God has revealed His law to mankind. In Romans, the apostle explains that all men possess a God-given conscience which convicts them of unrighteousness (2:14-16). Furthermore, he affirms that evil-doers understand that their actions are unlawful and deserving of punishment (1:32). God has also revealed His commands in Scripture which give clear direction for men to follow in order to please God.
Our Culture’s worldview position on this area:
Since there is no ultimate Law-Giver, there is no absolute law. Men are a law unto themselves. This view permeates popular lingo: If it feels good, do it. It’s all good. Whatever! To each his own. Whatever floats your boat.
