A few weeks ago when Krista and I were in Orlando for the C&MA General Council, I posted daily summaries of the events of each day, and among those recaps were a couple of reviews and responses to one particular sermon by Scott Slocum. Mr. Slocum, the senior pastor of Essex Alliance Church in Essex, Vermont, addressed the entire council during the worship service on Thursday evening, and I was deeply disturbed.
