The service facilities at Revelstoke
provided a full range of services for
both coal and oil burning locomotives.
Shown here are the sanding tower, ash
pit, bunker C oil storage and coaling
tower, undergoing repairs to the roof. John's attention to detail is also evident
inside the roundhouse where an acetylene torch can be seen between tracks #5
and #6. The facilities serviced not only through locomotives but also a fleet of
pusher locomotives needed to take
trains over the Rogers Pass and
Eagle Pass to the east and west of
Revelstoke, respectively.
