Another dinosaur book by the author of the How and Why Wonder Book of Dinosaurs. It's interesting how many female authors wrote these books which were mostly aimed at little boys. The coolest thing about this particular book is that it makes an appearance in the American version of King Kong vs. Godzilla (1963). There, a noted scientists holds up the book and explains that Godzilla is a cross between the Allosaurus depicted on the cover and the Stegosaurus shown inside. Conceptually this is obviously correct. But scientifically, such a pairing is as likely as a tiger mating with a giraffe!
