Eastward Second Class Livestock Train XLE "Extra Livestock East" with GN 2044 class R-2 2-8-8-2 steam locomotive, 20 loaded stock cars, Helper Train XHE and 50 foot drovers caboose cutting Helper Train XHE to track S1 after crossing Rocky Mountains thru 5,213 foot Marias Pass using siding with 3% grade.
Train XLE GN 2044 class R-2 GN-Hillyard "articulated" 2-8-8-2 freight oil burning steam locomotive has Belpaire fire box, front mounted dual air pumps and enclosed cab.
Train XLE GN 2044 was most powerful locomotive in world when it was built by GN at Hillyard in 1929.
Train XHE uses class F-3-7 EMD F7 ABA freight diesel locomotives.
Train XLE stops on siding and on main east of Summit with drovers caboose east of track S1 east switch, helper Train XHE sets out drovers caboose on siding west of track S1 east switch, Train XHE enters track S1, Train XLE backs up on siding to pick up drovers caboose and leaves down grade to Glacier Park.

Eastward Third Class Snow Train XSE "Extra Snow East" with oil burning steam powered rotary plow, GN 2554 class S-1 4-8-4 steam locomotive, GN 1974 class M-2 2-6-8-0 steam locomotive, snow dozer and 25 foot wood caboose on siding and track S1 after removing snow from 5,213 foot Marias Pass in Rocky Mountains.
Train XSE GN 2554 class S-1 Baldwin "Northern" 4-8-4 passenger and high speed freight oil burning steam locomotive has Belpaire fire box, front mounted dual air pumps and Glacier Park paint scheme.
Train XSE GN 1974 class M-2 Baldwin/GN "articulated" 2-6-8-0 freight oil burning steam locomotive has Belpaire fire box, side mounted dual air pumps and Glacier Park paint scheme.
Eastward First Class Passenger Train 2 "Empire Builder" with 12 cars crossing Rocky Mountains thru 5,213 foot Marias Pass on main with 3% grade.
Fourth Great Dome coach temporarily assigned to Train 2 provides first class passengers with a dome view until it can be replaced by new Great Dome lounge car.
