GREAT Circus Train XCW "Extra Circus West"
with 17 cars pulled by 2 steam locomotives
ran on GN layout from Havre, Montana
to Shelby, Montana, unloaded at Shelby,
loaded at Shelby, ran to Whitefish, Montana,
unloaded at Whitefish, loaded at Whitefish
and ran to Spokane, Washington during
three operating sessions in summer of 2001
using its runs and circus cats to unload
and load its circus wagons.

GREAT Circus Train XCW's run on GN Layout
coincided with prototype Wisconsin Southern's
circus train which runs annually
from Baraboo, Wisconsin
to Milwaukee, Wisconsin using its runs
and horses to unload its circus wagons
for Milwaukee's great circus parade
and also to load its circus wagons
for its return trip to Baraboo.

GREAT circusmaster Jim Bartuski
passed away in summer of 2002 and
GREAT Circus Train XCE "Extra Circus East"
did not run on GN layout
from Spokane, Washington to Havre, Montana
during three operating sessions to coincide with
prototype Wisconsin Southern's circus train.

Jim Bartuski's son Joe
left Jim's circus equipment on GN Layout
and Joe may be GREAT circusmaster when
GREAT Circus Train XCE "Extra Circus East"
runs on GN layout during
a future GN Layout Operating Session.
