![]() First things first. Fly in, bus downtown, check into the hotel, than find gelato!!! |
![]() Outside the Duomo, we were greeted by thousands of screaming girls. Regretfully, they were screaming at Finley, not at us. |
![]() Two rolls of cheap wrapping paper provided hours of faux light-sabre entertainment. |
![]() The beauty in Milan was breathtaking. |
![]() We visited the canal area for our first dinner and had a great meal. Especially Nick's donkey stew. |
![]() To work off all that stew, we climbed to the top of the Duomo and enjoyed the view. |
![]() Nick and Grant also visited an old classmate, Adeen, who had moved to Milan. |
![]() Lots of energy is contained within two teenage boys! |
![]() All that energy was refueled at a charming local pizzeria. |
![]() The first day was rainy, and the boys found they could slide along on the steel grates. When it dried up, they provided their own water! |
![]() At the science museum (while Sooz was out shopping), the boys tried out their hand at wireless telegraphy, as developed by Marconi. |
![]() Don went to take some photos of steam trains (thankfully not included here), and came out to find this sight on the bench outside. |
![]() More gelato! We'd turn around, and the boys would be behind us, purchasing more cups, and running to catch up. |
![]() Nick took this photo of the happy family enjoying a stroll in the sunshine. Thanks! |
![]() This is what happens when you eat too much gelato! (Actually, he's at the central train station). |
