Say hello to Oliver!

Our newest family member is Oliver, a Cardigan Corgi. Although he's multi-colored, he's supposed to look that way, as he is a "blue merle" pup. We'll keep this page updated as he grows up from an adorable puppy into a handsome dog.

You should know the routine by now; click on a photo to see it full-sized and click again to come back to this page. Enjoy!!

Ollie came to us from Wales, Aberystwth to be exact. He's about five weeks old on this July 9 photo.

Sooz and Grant picked him up on August 13, 2003. This is a photo
of their first meeting.

A few days later, we went to Ascot for a dog show. He met lots of other dogs and was oohed and aahed over by dozens of people.

August 31- those ears are starting to stand up well!

First day of school: September 3.

When Sooz works at her Mac, Ollie snoozes beside her.

Like all puppies, Ollie is usually underfoot.

A rare photo of Ollie standing, on September 13.

That's more like it, relaxing in the shade.

Here is the official portrait of Rhiwelli Blue Moon.

Click for a little movie of Ollie and Grant doing a duet!

Here's the king, napping on his throne at Christmas.

Ollie was very sick with a virus in early January 2004. He even
had exploratory surgery. He's
home now, showing off his
bikini wax and tummy tuck.

Ollie investigating the snowfall
on Leap Day.

Spring has arrived, and Ollie
uses his amazingly long tongue
as a radiator.

Posing with his favourite toy,
 Mr. Squeaky.

Ollie likes to go to the polo matches with us. Note the admiring glances he's receiving here (or is it Sooz receiving those glances???)

A visit to his country of birth,
in Swansea.

The happy family in a Welsh park.

Ollie is 13 months old now,
posing alongside the river
Usk in south Wales.

Ollie has been to a couple of dog shows, and of course his beauty and charm has been rewarded with a number of awards!

Speaking of awards, here's our
prize-winner with a couple of
his latest rosettes.

Despite his pedigree, he likes
to lounge about the house in a
number of lurid poses.

The king in his Halloween
costume. The crown did not rest easy upon his head!
Pampering

From his previous show wins, Ollie qualified in 2005 for Crufts, the biggest dog show in the world. He's grooming here for his debut.

Ollie in the ring, paying close attention to Mair, his handler
(and godmother!!)

Ollie with some of his competition. We of course thought he was best by a huge margin!!

Our hero, proudly showing his
2nd in the Crufts post-graduate
class. Next year, best in show!!
At the polo!

You must realise by now that
Ollie is quite posh; he would
never miss the Cartier Polo Cup!

Ollie traveled back to Wales for a show, and he saw his father, Tanc. You can see the resemblance!

Owing to his beauty and charm,
Ollie was asked to represent
his breed at the Discover Dogs
show in London.

His Aunt Kelly cross-stitched
his photograph in an amazing likeness. The real Ollie is on
the left.

Here's a couple of photos
from April 2007.

Ollie is nearly 4 and is
enjoying his youth!
In Windsor

5th birthday, preparing for
the World Cup!

On Thanksgiving 2008, Ollie ruptured 3 disks in his back! Fortunately, he received very quick treatment and he's shown here recovering from surgery a week later.

Click the photo for a little movie of Ollie's therapy on December 30. Hint: it involves one of his favourite things!
Spring Dog

Ollie's recovery is progressing nicely; here he's enjoying the Vernal Equinox during his walk.

Spring Dog

Five months since his surgery, Ollie's walking and standing very well, and his fur is coming back nicely, too.

To celebrate his 6th birthday, Ollie came to Sweden with us. He's wearing his lifevest in a pose with his family.

His back is sufficiently healed to allow a thorough shake after a dip in the Baltic.

This, however, is his more natural state these days, a photo from October '09.
Christmas Corgi

We spent a quiet Christmas at home and here's our boy
enjoying his present.
Blizzard dog

2010 rang into London with
a lot of snow! Ollie is an
unusual pose here.
Dog with balls

Here's our boy with his balls(!), late July 2010. He's still doing well, feeling his age a bit, but aren't we all!
