These are the jokes, people

I'm depressed that the last two entries I did -- about various aspects of my teaching philosophy and practice -- have garnered exactly zero comments. By the standards of this blog, those are the substantive, content-rich, serious entries. Do you want to encourage me to write more entries like those? Or would you rather have something like this:

Below I have reproduced an actual note that was sent home from school with Archer today. All punctuation and spelling (or lack thereof) is exactly as found in the original. (The note was word-processed on a plain sheet of copier paper with no date, heading, or other niceties -- just a one-inch margin at the top, a two-inch margin on the left, a half-inch margin on the right, and at least nine inches of white space at the bottom.)

Dear, Parents

It is 10 days til school is out your child will not be aloud to charge. And if our child has charges please pay them by the last day of school.

Thank you,
[name of school employee]
