Ocean City Memories

On a moonlit July night the girls and their dates dashed across the boardwalk and headed for the Music Pier at Plymouth Place and the Boardwalk. It was the Lifeguard’s Ball, The summer social event for all of the college girls who summered in Ocean City. Mary looked resplendid in her dress of cotton-candy pink taffeta with sea blue trim. There was a mist off of the ocean that night, but no matter, Mary’s bouffant hairstyle would outlast any weather, thanks to the permanent she had earlier that morning.
