April 24, 2006 (Salem News) "IPSWICH - Emily Quinlan, the 18-year-old girl who inspired thousands of people statewide to register as bone marrow donors, lost her battle with acute myeloid leukemia on Saturday, April 15. Although Emily was not from Massachusetts, the Ashley and Doktor families of Ipswich got to know her when their own children, Matt Ashley and Jessica Doktor, were being treated for leukemia at Children's Hospital, where Emily was also undergoing treatment..."
