MY HISTORY (in brief)

I started out by exchanging some Martial Arts Training with the man
who trained my dog back in 1982.
I was fortunate to hook up with someone who KNEW what he was doing and
gave me a SOLID foundation on which to build, from the very beginning.

I took every opportunity to work with as many people as possible from all
levels of training. Like the man who I started with, I took what worked best
from everyone and came up with my own style. And every dog I work, I learn
something new or a different way of doing what I already know.

American Street Ring Qualifications: I am currently one of only two Certified Level 3 Trial Decoy's. I am the ONLY ASR "TRAINING" Decoy. Which means I both qualified and have mastered the skills necesary to train Decoys for ASR. I have a Lifetime membership and Decoy Certification in American Street Ring Awarded to me by ASR founder Ted Hoppe.

Since 1982 I've trained and helped train dogs for:
  • Gerald Cruz of VANGUARD KENNELS in Jacksonville
  • Brevard County Sheriff's Department
  • Cocoa Police Department
  • Melbourne Police Department
  • Rockledge Police Department
  • Satellite Beach Police Department
  • Titusville Police Department
  • West Melbourne Police Department
  • Melbourne Village Police Department
  • Patrick Air Force Base Along with others from time to time. I use to volunteer my "body" every May for Law Enforcement Day at the Melbourne Square Mall for the K-9 demonstration. My "Specialty" is Bite Work, but I also do Obedience. Though not as exciting or "fun" as bite work, it is an essential part of training. It is a "necessary evil" so to speak. With obedience, I have a chance to work with different breeds of dogs, all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Which helps me maintain and improve my training. Canine Security is always "Fine Tuning" our training to make it easier for not only your dogs to understand what we want them to do, but also for the people to understand.
