OACETT Gives Award for Article


I was honoured this week with an award for a recent article on lockout published in the Ontario Technologist magazine.

Most people that listen to my podcast probably don't know that I also write popular articles on the same subjects that I podcast about. I received a letter from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists, OACETT , yesterday telling me that they have given me the 2006 Publications Award for an article that I published in the Jan/Feb 2006 edition of the Ontario Technologist magazine.

The article covers the new CSA Z460-05 standard on hazardous energy control procedures, aka Lockout. If you did not get a chance to read the article, download a copy .

I want to thank those who nominated me for this award - I had no idea that I was even being considered. Thank you for considering me. I also want to thank my number 1 fan and supporter, Kimberly. Were it not for her continuous support and encouragement I doubt I would be writing and podcasting today. For any of my listeners who are also OACETT members, thank you for reading my words. I am looking forward to the Awards gala June 1st!
