EN 1050/ISO 14121 Annex A Sample


A problem with interpretation of RSS feeds by iTunes resulted in people having problems downloading the audio for the Hazard Identification show. This posting should fix the problem.

For everyone that has reported to me that they have had trouble with the Hazard Identification episode in iTunes, I've finally figured out the problem. Apparently the RSS spec is still wide open when it comes to multiple attachments to a posting, and in some cases iTunes will miss the .mp3 file and get the other attachments instead.

To correct this problem, I've deleted the sample page taken from EN 1050 from the episode posting and I'm including it here. All future shows with related non-audio files will get two posts on the blog, one for the audio file and one for the other media.

in iTunes, go into your podcasting directory and delete 'The Safety Guy'. Then go to the iTunes ADVANCED menu, select Subscribe to Podcast and past the following URL into the window:
http://homepage.mac.com/dnix/machinerysafety101/rss.xml

You should get a nice clean feed!
