It's the best of worlds, It's the worst of worlds

Most of the time I love working part time. But I'm slowly coming to the realization that I'm doing the work of a full time job - I'm just doing it more efficiently and without as much face time at the office. Most nights, after I tuck the kids in bed, the laptop comes out and I work. When the kids watch a TV show, I work. When they nap, I work.

Sue Shellenbarger, who writes an interesting column on work/life balance for the Wall Street Journal, penned this great article.

I'm lucky to work for a good organization that lets me make my own schedule for a job that I love. Now to figure out how to parse the work down into my reduced schedule. That's the tricky part. That's the part I haven't figured out yet.
