Two things I don't get about Wisconsin 



1) Why we are so scared of cats.

Evidently there was a vote today (and I missed it) to legalize the killing of all unleashed cats.

CNN writes about it here

The local paper goes with the Associated Press for this one . (But the local paper goes with the AP wire for most things, so no big surprise.)

The Onion hasn't commented yet, but another humor paper does .

I don't get it. What's next? Squirrels? Frogs? Ducks? Geese?


2) The unhealthy fascination with the Packers.

I was sitting in traffic today and the huge SUV in front of me had one of those yellow "Support our Troops" car ribbons. And right next to it, there was another car ribbon with hues of green and gold. Guess what it said? "Support our Packers."

Am I missing something, or is it completely tasteless to have those two things next to each other?

I don't get it.
