Out of the Closet
The kids have a new game. One hides in the
closet in the playroom and the other one slides the door closed. The one in the
closet screams at the top of his/her lungs until the other opens the door, at
which point they collapse on the ground in wild fits of
laughter.
Then, they repeat, switching
roles. again. and again. and again. and once more for good
measure.
I know that I should probably
put a stop to this game. Screaming is not a behavior we are looking to
encourage. Playing with doors, in general, isn't so safe. Putting one's
sibling in a closet is also not something we should be
allowing.
But I just can't get over the
fact that when faced with a playroom with more toys than Target at
Christmas....my children choose to play with the closet.
