There's hope, yet

One of the favorite "dinner will be ready in 3 minutes/Can you keep the kids out of the kitchen for a moment?" activities around here is to watch a movie trailer on the Apple website.

The favorite trailer of late has been for March of the Penguins, a documentary about, well, Penguins.

It's playing at one theater in Madison and it was sold out all weekend. This particular theater hasn't sold out a movie since 1998, according to today's paper.

For some reason, it gives me hope for the world that Penguins can generate commercial success.

I'm home today with a son with a 101 fever who won't sit still for anything. I think I'm going to have to try to play some movie trailers next. "Rest" apparently is not in a two-year-old boy's vocabulary.
