Luckily, the article wasn't too negative.

And that's my boy, painting the picture. He's downright adorable, if I do say so myself. He talked about the photo all night last night.

What does it say that both of my children have been in prominent photos in the newspaper before their respective 3rd birthdays? (D. was featured in an article on colic.) It's going to all be downhill from here, kids. Your 15 minutes is over.

I'm on my way out of town. But I'm taking my laptop with me. For work? No. To email the children and husband? No. To blog? No.

To email reporters and parents and church staff and neighborhood residents and hope we can come up with a solution that pleases everyone before Tuesday? Yes.

I'll be the one in the Detroit WiFi airport cafe this afternoon, frantically typing through my tears....
