This
print is actually two prints, one yellow and one orange cut
into strips and woven to form one piece. Fith in a series,
these prints commemorate my return home from an eight week
stay in the hospital suffering from Guillian Barré
Syndrom. The disease, from which I have fully recovered,
causes paralysis from extensive nerve damage. This terrifying
experience taught me not to take the beauty of this earth
for granted and to live life to the fullest. In tribute
to the old saying "stop and smell the roses," I
chose the iris instead as it is still to this day my favorite
flower.
