The Reunion is almost here. Unfortunately, the El Conquistador is sold out, as is the Holiday Inn Express. There is space at The Country Inn & Suites ((520) 575-9255), which is 4 miles from the El Con. You can get a studio/queen for $55-65 per night. Brats on Skis
| Vail, Colorado was the seen of a great Brat get
together the first weekend in April. Randy Pollard, Steve
Rush, our super
host, Ann Norman (an old friend who lives in Vail), and I skied and
boarded
all over those most excellent runs. We had a ball.
"Samurai" Steve and Ann lead the way down various black diamond slopes with Randy and I following, often on our butts. Our nights were spent dining, drinking and dancing the night away to old favorites like "Dancing Queen" and the entire Saturday Night Fever sound track. It was 1979 all over again. On Sunday morning Randy said masalammah ad went home. Shortly after, the pride of Grand Junction, Cindy Underwood- Winzenburg, joined us for the afternoon. |
We had a terrific time wandering
around Vail Village and enjoyed a great lunch at a nice little German
