Tucson Redux - Ninth Bi-Annual Brat Reunion - May 22nd-26th, 2003
Believe it or not, the Reunion is almost here!  We’re heading back to Tucson, so breakout the Coppertone, pack the Samsonite and hit the ATM because it’s time to have some fun.  Tucson is a terrific place for a Reunion, since it’s so much like home!  The heat, single level houses and desert vistas will make you think your plane landed in the wrong hemisphere.  After a few white and Pepsis, there won’t be any doubt.

Unfortunately, the Hilton (we’ve gone up market!) El Conquistador is sold out.  To add your name to the El Con waiting list call (520) 544-5000.  To learn more about the hotel go to www.sheratonelconquistador.com.  Rooms are available at the Holiday Inn Express of Oro Valley (within walking distance of the El Con).  The Holiday Inn can be reached at (520) 202-4000; you must tell them you’re an Aramco Brat to get our discount rate.

After spending most of the last two decades in California, Mark Skutnik moved to Endicott, NY last year to be with is girlfriend, Susan.  He really enjoyed the fishing in the dozens of lakes in the area, which were a real change of pace from the bright lights of L.A. and the brown hills of Bakersfield.

Mark is working for a subsidiary of Arramark as a manager of food services.  He’s on the road a lot but likes the company quite a bit.   Earlier this year he moved again, this time to Lakeville, CT, which is about forty miles northwest of Hartford.

Mark Andersen, Eric Borders and Eric’s wife have had their own mini-Reunions on Memorial Day weekend over the last two years.  They spent much of them hiking in the mountains of North Carolina.  Mark moved to the Charlotte area three years ago after spending the last five years in Florida.  Mark also enjoys heading for the open road on his Harley.

My husband, Andrew, and I welcomed our son, Ryan, on Dec. 21, 2001.  He is perfect and

very active.  We can’t wait to take him to Disney World next year!  I will be going back to work for the next school year-hopefully having transferred to the new high school in our area.   I’m already depressed about it.  My parents, Ron and Anne Gadberry, are doting grandparents, and my brother,  Steven, is a great uncle.
