Dhahran Class of 1979

DEAR CLASS OF 1979:                                                                                     March 23, 1996

Hi Everyone!! This is the second official newsletter for the class. I had hoped to get it out after Christmas but I needed the full two week break to recover from the first semester of Vet School. I'm really enjoying it but I don't have much of a life outside of it. My brother Jim got married in Bermuda last June. He and his wife Lauren are expecting their first child this coming October. My parents are looking forward to being grandparents. That's the big news for our family. I have some general Brat information and news about some of our classmates to share with you. I am also enclosing an updated address list and a missing person list. Please let me know of any errors on the list and any information you have regarding the addresses of our missing classmates. I have also added a column for e-mail addresses. If you have an e-mail address, send it to me at v99rsego@student.health.ufl.edu and I will add you to the list.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

BRAT E-MAIL CONNECTION: Selena Maranjian, Diana Ryrholm-Geerdes, and Jan Testarmata-Underwood have put an electronic mailing list for ARAMCO Brats. It is free to join and a lot of fun. Everyone talks about memories from Saudi and ARAMCO Brat activities. If youÕre interested in joining, send an e-mail message to Jan at Jan.Testarmata@Eng.Sun.COM.

MEMORY BOOKS FROM THE REUNION: There was a glitch at the printers so they were just mailed out. I got mine today. Let Kirk Lippert know if you ordered one and don't receive it in the near future. His work number is 713-332-2589 (best place to reach him)

ARAMCO BRAT DIRECTORIES/NEXT REUNION: Please let Kirk Lippert know if you have paid the $6/$10 for the directory but did now receive it The location of the next reunion will be decided in June. I will pass that information on to you as soon as I know. Our class had a great turnout at the Houston reunion. Hopefully we can do even better at the next one.

VIDEOTAPE OF DHAHRAN: Rodney Burge made a videotape of Dhahran this past January. It's a three tape set (Approximately 5 hours total). The cost is just $14.00 which includes the tapes, copying, and shipping. If you would like to order a set, please contact Michael Crocker as soon as possible. His address is 315 Ellington Street, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961. His phone number is 409-564-3857.

CLASS ALBUM: IÕd like to put an album together for the next reunion. Some of you have already sent me some really neat pictures. It would be great if everyone could send a couple pictures of yourselves, your families, or anything else that you would like to contribute to the album. Also, start thinking about class activities for the next reunion. It's only a little over a year away.

CLASS NOTES:

Julie Sawaya Ruedisale and I have talked several times since the reunion. She is presently on a trip to Egypt. I know Julie is coming to the next reunion and I'm sure she would love to share the details and pictures of her trip with us.
