| Seventh Bi-Annual Brat Reunion
- May 28th-30th, 1999
The Seventh Bi-Annual Brat Reunion will be held in Atlanta at the Crowne Plaza Revinia. It is a beautiful 500 room hotel with a three story greenhouse atrium and a waterfall that starts in the lobby and continues out onto 10 acres of terraces and streams. Diane Hammill Johnson (DH 78) writes: "There are some fun bars and plenty of restaurants within a mile or two. The hotel features a nice big open air bar, beautiful foresty, natury, fern like area with stairs down to the hotel's restaurant and food court area. The natury area continues forever." The phone number for reservations is 1-800-554-0055 or (770) 395-7700. Reunion Chair Sheila Zercoe (AB 75) promises a spectacular weekend. This is the twentieth anniversary of our graduation, so we want to see the best turnout ever! The Reunion is less than eight months away and rooms are quickly being booked up. Let me encourage all of you to make your reservations soon. Many waited too long to make their reservations for the last Reunion and ended up staying at off site hotels, which wasn't much fun for anyone. We've negotiated a special rate of $65 dollars per night, but you MUST mention that you are an Aramco Brat when making reservations to get the special rate. Make your reservations ASAP. Summer Fun Chris Jones hosted a terrific get-together for Brats in the Orange County and San Diego areas on July 18th. Many thanks go out to Chris's wife Gina, who put on a terrific spread. Chris, our grillmaster extraordinaire, did a great job as well. In attendance were classmates Doug Johnston, Mark Skutnik, Maria Manwaring-Melikian and her husband Mark, Ma'an Nasir and his wife Julie, and yours truly. The Class of '80 was ably represented by Sian Jones and Leanne Crowther. Lindsay Dew (DH 82) and Terry Crowther (DH 78) also joined in the festivities. Chris and Gina's sons, Dylan and Henry (who arrived on March 30th... Congratulations Chris and Gina!), got a chance to meet Maria and Mark's Olivia and Luke and had more fun than the adults. |
