Interview with Gore Vidal

Gore Vidal is good value even if he still has a penchant for the New Deal. His criticisms of the erosion of the Old Republic are to the point and his opposition to the Empire in general and the war in Iraq is courageous. Steve Parry interviews him on the topic of the undoing of America. He has some barbs directed at the corruption of the American party system, the failure of the media to hold politicians accountable for their actions, and for the general populace for their ignorance and lack of concern for political issues (for which he blames TV and the school system).
