At the mobile command. X-O flies in, holding the limp,
unconscious figure of Master Blaster from one fist.

CAPTION

Shortly...

X-O
Right. I’m out of here.

MEG
Wait! What happened?

Panel 2
X-O talks to Meg, Laidlaw directs two soldiers, who are
dragging Master Blaster’s bulk away.

LAIDLAW
Get him into stasis, double-time!

X-O
He shot his wad. By the time I pulled the
vault door off of him, he was nearly
unconscious.

Master Blaster floats in an upright, transparent tube full
of liquid. This is a STASIS TUBE, and we will see them
again. Meg is looking at the Tube. X-O is starting to fly
away.

SOLDIER
Subject in Stasis, Major.

LAIDLAW
Good work, Soldier.

X-O
See ya. I got a date with a doctor.

MEG
Talk to you later. Good luck.

Panel 4
Meg is still staring at the sleeping, smiling face of
Master Blaster, she’s disturbed. Laidlaw watches her
watching it.

LAIDLAW

What’s wrong?

MEG
I don’t know. I just think it’s kind of
weird that he’s smiling...

Panel 5
Big panel. X-O is flying into the camera. Unnoticed by
Donovan, the Medallion is glowing with the signature
energy.

X-O CAPTION
Hey Rand, why are we flying so slow?

RAND CAPTION
We sustained a lot of damage. Self-repair
routines underway. Attempting to isolate
unusual...

X-O CAPTION
Whatever. Just get me back to Thalia as
quick as you can.
