Big panel, interior Brain Child’s livingroom. It’s
Christmas Day there’s a tree and decorations. It’s obvious
from the boxes and wrapping paper that litters the place
BRAINCHILD and his sister AMELIA got over like crazy.
Brainchild is pulling a Kirbyesque, high tech device from
a brightly wrapped box. Amelia is happily playing with a
barbie doll. SKIPPY the cyborg dog is chewing on a big
bone.
BRAINCHILD
AH HAHAHAHAHA! An opticon scolometer! This
is trulythe best Christmas ever!
BRAINCHILD
And thanks to my evil genius, this
Christmas will never end!
Amelia is looking with some concern at her parents, who
stand frozen, staring happily into space (colored
monochrome like the other frozen folks).
AMELIA
Big brother? How come Mom and Dad aren’t
moving?
BRAINCHILD
They’re frozen in time! Just like
everybody in the world except us.
Brainchild smiles evily as he drags his sister by the arm.
BRAINCHILD
It’s all part of my evil plan. Come see
what I did!

Brainchild has pulled aside a curtain to reveal FATHER
TIME, lying in a hospital bed, an oxygen mask over his
face, tubes and leads running to various life-support
devices and monitors.
BRAINCHILD
I’ve put Father Time on life support! Now
it’s going to be Christmas forever! AH
HAHAHAHAHA!
A distracted Brainchild is fiddling with an IV tube.
Ameilia is very concerned she is pointing at something
off-panel.
BRAINCHILD
This drip looks a little slow. I better
adjust it...
SFX
(off-panel scythe)
AMELIA
(burst)
Crisis! Crisis!
New angle reveals the Tick and Arthur have just appeared
in the room. Brainchild reacts.
BRAINCHILD
Nooo! It’s the Tick!
TICK
Brainchild! I should have knownyou were
behind this!

Brainchild produces Father Time’s FULL SIZE SCYTHE. It
glows with energy and looks extremely dangerous.
BRAINCHILD
It doesn’t matter. I’ve got Father Time’s
Scythe. I used it to go back in time to
this Christmas Day, and I’ll use it to
destroy you once and for all!

TICK
Not to worry Arthur. He’s outnumbered.
New angle shows a SECOND TICK, who is snatching the big
scythe away from a surprised Brainchild.

The Ticks congratulate themselves.

The Two Ticks continue to explain things to Brainchild.
