Okay, “Store” is a pretty strong word. In the short term, this is going to be a place where Milestone fans can buy comics and other items from my very limited personal stock. Whenever I come across Milestone stuff in back issue bins, I buy them up. From now until they’re gone, I’ll offer them to you here. Odds are, if you find issues of the comics locally, you’ll find them cheaper. I encourage you to go that route first. If that fails, give me a try.

Back Issues
My comic book work is increasingly hard to find and yet, my mini-storage room is pretty full. You want em? You got em! I have issues of almost every Milestone title including Static, Static Shock, Icon, Hardware, Blood Syndicate, Xombi, Shadow Cabinet, Kobalt, Long, Hot Summer, My Name is Holocaust, Heroes, Deathwish and a few signed copies of the ICON: A HERO‘S WELCOME and STATIC SHOCK: TRIAL BY FIRE trade paperbacks. To complete your DC/Milestone Worlds Collide crossover collection, I have a few copies of the pertinent issues of Steel, Superman and Superboy. I also have copies of many random issues that I’ve written for Marvel, DC, Valiant, Harvey, Apocalypse and others including Back To The Future, Cartoon Network featuring Johnny Bravo, Damage Control, Deathlok, The Demon, Impulse, the dreaded Sins of Youth Kid Flash/Impulse, Monster In My Pocket, Prince: Alter Ego, Prince: Three Chains of Gold, Ultraman and X-O Manowar. Everything here is $3.00 each, or any 4 for $10.00. In many cases, I only have one copy and when it’s gone, it may be gone forever. I’ll sign as many as you want, if you’re into that sort of thing. Shipping and Handling is $5.00 for priority mail, per as many copies as will fit in one mailer (usually about 15 copies), after that, I’ll charge you for the cheapest priority mailer that’ll work. It's Here! Black Superheroes: Milestone Comics and Their Fans is the title of Jeffrey A. Brown, Ph.D's new book on Milestone Comics, comic book fandom and images of black masculinity in the media. I read an early version of the manuscript a couple of years ago, as well as the more recent excerpt that ran last year in the African American Review (volume 33, #1). It's an entertaining, thoughtful and surprisingly serious examination of some of the social forces that shape Milestone and our readers. You can order your copy right here through Amazon.com. Professor Brown teaches Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University. He e-mailed me recently to tell me that he uses Milestone comics as texts in some of his college courses. I'm telling you, between classes like these and Donald Snyder's, I'm tempted to go back and try for a Doctorate myself. Maybe not, I don't think I could live with the shame if I flunked out of Icon 101.
