Creating Forums for Discussion

A majority of today's young adults are aware of having spiritual needs, yet they experience barriers to being involved in traditional religious communities. This leaves many with few options for exploring their spiritual lives. University is a time when young people are sifting through the values they were raised with and setting a course for life.

Developing Leaders

Today's Students

We engage these needs by creating safe places where students from a diversity of faith and non-religious backgrounds discuss the questions and issues that concern them. The majority of students involved do not identify with a particular faith -- often this is their first experience of being part of a community that actively supports them in their spiritual journey.

We encourage the development of the whole person, relating spirituality to personal values and community involvement through Weekly Discussion Groups, Workshops, Retreats, and Leadership Development opportunities.

Exploring my spiritual journey is some-thing I have not done before. I am seeing a side of myself that I did not know existed. Belonging in this community, that can potentially change the way I look at the world, is a wonderful new experience for me. (Open Circle participant)
