TOKYO DIALOGUES. JULY, AUGUST 2009 |

We shall be meeting for Dialogue once in July and once in August. We shall be meeting on Saturday, July 4 from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm and on Sunday, August 23 from 1.30. pm to 4.30 pm at our apartment in Nishi-Waseda. Dot Mac is "retiring" this type of home page so I will not be able to edit this page after this. By September a new page will be set up. This present page can still be accessed, however.
Please note that there is now a new access point for those coming from Shibuya direction or Seibu-Ikebukuro line. The new station, Nishi-Waseda, on the Fuku-toshin line will be the nearest station. Use exit one or the front of the train coming from Shibuya if you use this connection.

If you would like to attend a meeting and need directions to my apartment please email/call me for a fax or map-attachment. Also, be sure to confirm one day before the Dialogue, at the latest, if you would like to attend. The contribution is ¥ 600 for Sunday dialogues and ¥ 500 on Saturdays.
At our meetings about a quarter of the time is spent silently reflecting or meditating. The remaining three quarters is spent actively speaking, listening to and preparing ourselves internally for the spontaneous occurrence of "coherent" dialogue. Short taped excerpts are used to ground our activity in presence, awareness and fellowship. An introduction to the principles of Dialogue will be given on each day.
There are several of us who have been attending the group for several years since its birth in spring 2001. There is no leader as such. Each of shares the responsibility and has the opportunity to be a pioneer in a form of human communication and inquiry that offers great potential for a deep transformation within the human mind.
