PHOTOS FROM FAIRYLAND
NOV. 4-DEC. 2, 2007
NEW SHOW!!!

Artists Reception Saturday Nov. 10, 4-6pm
Mugshots Coffeehouse & Cafe
110 Cotton Street, Philadelphia, PA (Just off Main Street in Manayunk)

If you happen to be in the Philadelphia area, come to the Artist's Reception!

New works, vivid visions in limited edition framed prints.

A sneak peak above, "The Amanita Eater", Miss Alice, ("Her Greeness" the frogs all call her). Who lives in that little toadstool house? (I do! I do!) She's a choice specimen, if a bit unfriendly. It's all the amanita mushroom in her diet that turns her stomach and her coloration, and allows her to get very, very big, or very very small, as she likes. In the Autumn, her leaf hair changes gradually to red and finally sheds leaves, and her wings, (there are a few leaves on the ground already). In the winter, her head is twiggy, and she's witchy and thin and greyish, wintering over in whatever cozy place she can manage.

I apologize profoundly for the design of the website. While my artwork is exciting and saucy, I'm unfortunately HTML illiterate and must rely heavily on unsatisfactory templates for the time being.

Was featured favorably on www.webomator.com, in REALLY NEAT STUFF.
(Found recently, but was quite awhile back though, since I'm not longer in Austin!)

Here's a snippet:
"…offers a unique brand of reconstructed vintage art, very much like Terry Gilliam's animations back in the days of Monty Python's Flying Circus - classic illustration and advertising art is snipped up, recombined, and amusingly presented all over again in unexpected contexts. There's quite a bit of skill shown in the work - it's not the hodgepodge collage you might be expecting. Delve deeper!"

Another creation for the Waldorf School annual production!
Two ladies, space clowns in fabulous attire... I shall make great paintings of them, full-on collage pieces. I was very inspired by imagery in "The Little Prince".

SPACE SQUID

You should definitely get in on that if you're into bizarro sci-fi fiction zines, stuff that's really out on the edge. It's not as furry friendly as my stuff tends to be.

Plus, these guys are AWESOME, and fun, and talented, and entirely gorgeous people. They throw the best new issue parties, and are, in fact, having them regularly as Release Parties for the Space Squid issues at the Fox & Hound in Austin, TX.

Support your local Squid.

I'm going to learn how to ANIMATE my creatures, Monty Python cut-paper style, and out them up on the new website when it's done in 2007! Woohoo!
The pufferhead with the rollerskates is going to be awesome. I'll have him skate across, turn sharp, and eat the cake on his head.
