Turtle is looking for the owner's right-hand woman/man, someone who loves people,
who loves design, and who wants to forward the Turtle mission of introducing great unknown designers to the public.
The job includes:
Running the store day to day
Assisting the Head Buyer
Helping customers find clothes and accessories that they love
Helping plan and develop regularly scheduled events
Keeping the store looking fresh, including window displays
Finding new designers
Assisting in writing monthly newsletter, PR material, and ads
Helping grow the business
Supervising sales associates
The ideal candidate:
Is selfless and supportive
Has retail/business experience
Is great with customers
Has strong design sense and is very fashion-savvy
Has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
Has good computer skills
Has good communication and writing skills
Can work independently and in a team
May want to own their own boutique or develop their own line someday
Bonus skills:
HTML/website development
Project-management
Staff-management
Hours:
At least 3.5 days a week and as many as 5 (includes Saturdays)
Starting compensation:
To be determined based on skill level
Job is located in Boston's South End near major bus and T stops.
No college students please.
