Back to basics...more 1337 haxoring
Alright...I moved the nifty PII G4 heatsink to another page to avoid confusion... The goal of THIS effort was to get the freaking tower to be quiet and run cooler...AND get airflow in the PCI region without blocking off potential full length AGP cards such as the GF4 Ti. Every goal was reached...this kicks ass...

Bottom of the MDD board...are those BGA cap arrays for the DDR?
What goes here?
Here's where the FireWire2 controller goes...expect this at MWSF.
You're thinking..."My MDD isn't that open in the back."
Here's why...2 hours with a pair of dikes (not as enjoyable as it may sound :P )
From the inside
Got the 120mm fan grille out
Did the door grille
Popped an LCIII fan in...quiet and excellent bearings...Elina Fans kick ass.
One of the PSU fans next to a Global Win 7000 RPM fan
Again...next to the "Delta Black Label."
You mean to say these are 37 CFM 47 dB fans...thanks Apple.
While I was in the PSU I cut the back out...better flow and such.
Back of the PSU...all chopped up.
I bought 2 slim 120mm fans...to replace the loud delta one...and the 2 60mm ones
How do you replace two 60mm fans with a 120? These pieces are critical
As is chopping the hell out of the fan
Then you test fit everything
Then you install it all
Then you FIRE IT UP.
This thing is silent...I now have 2 of these slim 120s and that Elina 60
Look at that...full length PCI will fit NO SWEAT!

Till next time...
