Audio on Video

The beauty of this audio piece on DVD is in the visuals. There are four performers surrounding two stretched canvasses....their instruments are mic'ed and the sound waves cause the strewn materials on the canvasses to bounce, shake, and transform into visually stunning pictures -- pictures that change as the audio changes. Lucier makes sound visible.
