Our Father

I Timothy 2:3

God is the giver of life and wants to have a relationship with each one of us. God our father wants us to know Him and love Him.

Acts 17:24-28

God wants us to reach out and seek Him and find Him.

God displays His love for us in many ways. As a Father loves his children, God loves us.

His love is perfect and complete. He reveals Himself to us through the His Word.

The following passages reveal qualities about God's heart and nature

Exodus 34:6-7, Luke 15: 11-32

God is our perfect heavenly Father who knows us and knows what we need

God is Compassionate

While the son was still a long way off, his father saw him, was filled with compassion, ran to meet him, threw his anns around him and kissed him.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. Psalms 103: 13

Jesus shows the same heart. Matt 9:35-36

God is Gracious

It is so encouraging to know that God deals with us not as we deserve, but rather through grace. Titus 3 :3- 7

What does this verse say about God's love for me?

God is Slow to Anger

Paul speaks of God's kindness, tolerance, and patience. Rom 2:4

Man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. James 1 :20

God abounds in love

Jesus tells us of this love. John 3: 16

John tell us that "God is love." I John 4:8-10 How has God demonstrated this?

God is Faithful

Even when we are unfaithful, God is always faithful to us. II Tim 2: 13 God is faithful to all His promises. Heb 10:23

God is Forgiving

Jesus shows His Fathers heart and forgiving love. Matt 6: 14-15.

God is Just

"He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just, A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He." Deut 32:4

God has given us his commands that He wants us to obey. I John 5:3 God's Word will be the standard for judgment of our lives. John 12:48
