| Notes for Earl Richard Walts |
| Hit by a car while delivering milk in Georgetown. His brother Harold carried him to 'Doc' Engleman's office in Georgetown. 'Sammy' died a few hours later in St Edwards hospital [7 ] in New Albany. Shelby Walts took his death very hard, and some say he was never the same afterward. When it was suggested that he sue the driver of the car, Pop Walts declined, saying that there had already been enough suffering. A philosophy which could well be followed today. |
